A Thai Food Love Affair

Thai Foodie’s Mini Sous Chef

September 30, 2012 · In: Thai Family

Thai-Foodie’s newest sous chef arrived on Monday, September 24, at 10:04p.m., weighing in at 6.4 pounds and 20.5 inches—Rocco Felipe Pengjad.

New Sous Chef

We are so in love—and so exhausted—but he is worth every lost second of sleep. Yesterday Dom said he feels like we have won the lottery—I agreed.

As I heal from giving birth, and as Rocco gets used to life in the real world, I won’t be cooking much Thai food for awhile. But we will eat, don’t worry. My family from NC is here for another week taking good care of us, our church friends will be providing some meals, and of course Dom likes to cook for us too.

Sherri and Rocco

We are so grateful for all the love and support we are being shown, and how Rocco already has so many people who care for him.

I would say more, but the thought of joining Rocco for a much-needed nap is too tempting. As I sleep, I”ll be dreaming of the day I get to teach him how to become my mini sous chef!
